What is the Shmear Society Rewards Program? How is it different from being a member of the eClub/email program with Einstein Bros. Bagels?
Glad you asked! The Shmear Society is the Einstein Bros. rewards program. By becoming a member of the Shmear Society Rewards Program, you can earn 2 points per $1 spent and use your points when and how you want to! You can redeem your points on the Einstein Bros. Bagels mobile app towards rewards for things like bagels, baked goods, egg sandwiches, brewed coffee and more! Log into your mobile app and sign-up for emails to get access to exclusive information about new products, promotions and offers including a bagel and shmear with purchase for signing up and a egg sandwich with purchase on your birthday!
You can join the Shmear Society by going to rewards.einsteinbros.com/join. Input your email address and phone number and click “Join/Check Shmear Status”
A “check-in” is when a Rewards member identifies themselves by showing the store team member the barcode on the app or by providing their phone number at the register prior to a purchase. This ensures you will earn credit for your visit and 2 points per $1 spent.
Based on the number of Points in your account, you can redeem for things like bagels, sandwiches, baked goods, brewed coffee, beverage size upgrades, and more! The choices will vary so check back often. View your Points balance in the App and select from your available Rewards.
Usually you will have 14 days to redeem a reward, but keep in mind that the length of a reward can vary so make sure you have the Mobile App or have opted into email so you know how long you have to redeem. Points expire after a period of 6 months of inactivity. Make sure you check-in each time you visit so your Points don’t expire.
You can earn as many points as you want and save them for future use. Remember to check-in each time you visit so you don’t let your points expire.

I recently moved and have updated my city/state/zip code with my new information but now I am no longer receiving emails, what happened?
Depending on where you live, we may or may not have locations in your area that participate in the Shmear Society. Some locations do not accept offers so you may not get emails from us if the only nearby locations are licensed locations which are located in airports, hospitals, college campuses, military bases and hotels.
You can redeem Shmear Society rewards by visiting a participating Einstein Bros. location near you and presenting either the barcode listed on your Shmear Society email to the cashier (via mobile device or printed copy of your email) or by providing your phone # to the cashier (make sure you have added phone # to your account - visit your account page to add your phone #).
I logged into my account and I have available rewards but I never received a Shmear Society email with a barcode for my rewards, how do I redeem these rewards without an email that contains a barcode?
Good news! You don’t need your email from us to redeem rewards - now you can redeem rewards in-store with your phone number. All you need to do is provide your phone number to the cashier when you visit your local Einstein Bros. location and advise them you would like to redeem a reward. The cashier will look up your account and confirm what rewards you qualify for.
I visited an Einstein Bros. location that told me they don't accept any offers/coupons - how do I know who accepts coupons?
At this time our Einstein Bros. licensed locations do not accept coupons or gift cards. These locations are located in airports, hospitals, college campuses, military bases and hotels.
Go to rewards.einsteinbros.com or download the Shmear Society mobile app and request a password reset. You will receive a password reset email and then you will be redirected to the Password Reset page. From here input the email address associated with the Shmear Society Rewards account. An email will then be sent to you to reset the password. Simply click the “Reset Password” link in the email and you will be redirected to the password reset page.
NOTE: The email address with the password reset link will come from “Customer Relations” and the sender’s email address will be email@example.com.
Please ensure you check your spam/junk folder for the email. The email will have a subject line of “Password Reset Request” and come from Customer Relations (the sender email address is firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you are a first time user who is a member of Shmear Society but you have never accessed your account online you will need to create a new password. You can do this by selecting “Create/Forgot Password” and entering the email address associated with your Shmear Society account and inputting a new password of your choice. The password requires at least 8 characters and you must use at least one numeric and one capital letter.
We ask for your phone # for account lookup in-store only, we will not text or call you. You can provide your phone # to the cashier who can then lookup your account which allows you to check-in and earn points towards rewards, as well as redeem rewards.
As a member of the Shmear Society Rewards Program, we will send you a reward for a free egg sandwich with purchase for your birthday (valid for 14 days). Make sure to add your birthday to your account today!

You can unsubscribe from receiving our emails by logging into your account at rewards.einsteinbros.com and unchecking the box located at the bottom of your account page under “Email notifications”. You can also unsubscribe by selecting the “Unsubscribe” link on the bottom of any Shmear Society email you have received from us and you will be redirected to a page that will provide confirmation that you have been removed from our email list.
